In our previous blog post we took a look at how we process our air-dried hardwood logs. Long before this, we transport our trunks of timber to our base via our log trailer.
Once these trunks are on site they are unloaded and cut up into smaller pieces. These can then be be passed through out log splitter to produce our metre long bales, which are then left to air dry. It is the unloading process and moving of the trunks which is the focus of our latest video.
For this process we use our Log Crane. This machine grabs the trunks, where it is then able to manoeuvre them into our chosen area. With the trunks in position, they can be cut up into more manageable sizes.
